250lc. Do I use copper gasket or the fabric ones and also how tight do I do them up, snug or tight, keep leaking. I had the weld break on R/H collar again so getting that done too.

hi jack i use the copper ones with all the vibration and compacting of the gaskets.you have to retighten the bolts.say every 100 miles to take any slack up.quick job and should cure the problem

Thanks marsbar, it's an early LC, 1980, there is a spacer in there but am I putting right size gasket in, do you know the size of gasket.

I have the early barrels and copper gaskets from Norbo, They don't fit in the exhaust port on the head, the gasket is too big! so my exhaust flange sits proud of the head. I would imagine they will fit in the 4LO/1 barrels... That said I've no idea if they would but plenty on here would know....

I think there can be a variation of different gaskets used depending on what you have ,, for instance mine uses 2 copper gaskets on each barrel with the flange gasket witch butts up snug
