I'd like to hear peoples opinions on fork lowers. My 1985 31k forks have been polished up, but to get them back to an accurate standard brushed alloy finish, what do you think's best, powdercoated? or is there anyone out there that specialises in returning them to a standard finish?
Any advice most welcome!

Like others on here, I did mine myself, a 'scotchbrite pad' in a drill, and a few from the £1 store, and came up as good as new.

I used a paint removing wheel in a drill followed by a buffy ball and some autosol. You can get proper satinisig mops from some of the car restoration places which are probabaly better for the job. I think they're bascially scotchbrite. www.frost.co.uk/satinising-mops-4-inch-and-set.html
