Hello all having just been screwed over on a set of carbs on eBay I've been offered a set of tar carbs has anybody used these on a 250lc ? Thought if anybody had then this is the place to ask thanks Andy

Norbo has a set on his furry bike. But that's a 350. He will be along in the morning

Ok no problem the 250lc is proddy tuned with microns so thought why not try something different

andygasgas ,i have a pair of tzr carbs on my 350lc std ish tune with ram air sock filter and nickon pipes and i find they work ok .i did though do an air jet mod on them info on the web easy to do .google tzr carburetor.

yes they push into the std inlet rubbers.just rememberd had the carbs bored to 30mm and fitted oil injection fittings from an rd 400 to the carbs .

Got my tzr carbs today pity the choke tops are missing or did they work from a cable ? Only ever worked on 1 that was years a go

yes mate they work from a cable.are the chokes still in the carbs .if so you can get a spliter box and a lever and make up some cables ,put the lever on the l/h bar job done.

Yes mate the chokes are fitted the carbs are mint also got a new throttle cable so just need to sort out cables what would you use an old throttle cable splitter ? I've had a quick look and doesn't seem to be any tzr cables etc about thanks Andy

Nope - think I got them from someone on here - the chokes fit the PWKs

hi andy ,i used choke cables off a vj 22 .if you have a look on the vehicle wiring products site they do a handle bar lever for l/h 9.97 ,sure you could find some thing cheaper on the web.when i rebuilt my lc years ago i fitted rgv switch gear so i already had the lever.
