My import has a KPH speedo, I was going to buy some decals off here to change it to mph, but when I popped the speedo out of the housing it appears to be a sealed unit, I can't get into it unless I damage the metal seal around the front of it.
Is this right? Or is there a knack to popping it off.

If you change the face, mark the resting place for the needle or you will loose the calibration , also be careful how you prise the needle off, It can be done, i just bought a kph speedo and fitted my mph face, all fine on the speedo, odometer is still kms,

I have just done this with mine. I had the backs off twice and bought a converter that fits to the speedo cable. Unfortunately I broke the needle just as I had got everything sorted and trying to get one is like rocking horse poo. In the end I bought a mph clock from a very nice gent on here!!! You can get decals and the spacing is the same.
