;D New on here but this is a little story which i think you all can relate to. 1987 my first legal road bike....RD125lc had this for a few years and even rode it from durham to kent in the winter(things we did then.lol). Then up graded to an elsie but my girlfriend decided it was time for a family...well the descision was made for us! lol...so that had to go.....Now i am the proud owner of a rd350r!! Yes i know its not like the originals but i like them, so in 2 weeks it will arrive from the north west to the lovely isle of wight and i can get the odds and sods done. Who knows what i mean? lol..keep replying to this so i can get up to 25 posts as i might need some parts..lol. Thanks guys. Attachments:

defo nowt wrong with an R model, dont let the magazines continue to tell us that, they were comparing it to the stuff of the time in 1995 when they dissed it, and its not really any worse than an F2 in build quality, just time had moved on.

Cheers Jonw. I went for the 'r' on purpose, simply because i like the style and its a bit different. Hope the weather is staying dry and your burning up and down the highways. lol.

Hi Bob, You got youself a bargain there I reckon. Hope you're on the road soon. I'm sure you won't be dissappointed with an 'R' model.

Thanks Atomicstroker, Yes i think i got a bargain too. The bloke i got it off is a real nice bloke too. He was very helpfull, keeping the bike till i sold my thundercat to pay for it, thrown bits and pieces in with it and even sorted out a mate of his to drop it off down south!! If only all sales went like this...lol.

Hi Bob, You got youself a bargain there I reckon. Hope you're on the road soon. I'm sure you won't be dissappointed with an 'R' model. You wont. There's very little difference in performance compared to the earlier models, although the earlier models reved out a bit more. I like my R. The power spread is more even.
