Hi guys. Need help identifying this rubber damper/mounting. Is it off my ypvs, or just a rogue rubber found it way in my things. What is uncanny is that they are the perfect size for me to use as rubber mountings for the rear exhaust hanger on the Tarozzi rearsets.Any help really appreciated.

It doesn't seem to be... The diameter is about the size of a 2p piece.... There's a wear mark across the flat side, so it seems to be a damper of sorts. But thanks for the input.

What year or model YPVS? Looks like one of the dampers that fits in the top yoke where the 6mm bolt goes through to hold on the headlamp cradle if it's an LC2.

Looks like the damper on F2/N2/R that goes on the peg on the frame under the petrol tank.
Centre and to the front of the tank.

Ah yeah, it would help Tone.... LC2 is the model.. I'm trying to suss it out on the parts catalogue, but the diagrams are not that clear. Not a tank damper thanks midlife. I'm kinda thinking somewhere around the headlight/yoke area. But then I should have 2 in my collection. It's not often I throw things away. Having said that, I seem to have mislaid the headlight bracket. silly me.

Only thing on the Lc2 that looks like that is the dampers that go in the top yoke where the headlight bracket bolts through.
You should have 4, 2 in the top holes and 2 in the bottom ones.

Look on the Chassis section on the Steering page on the parts catalogue and you will see them as item #21 part number 584-83541-00. As midlifecrisisrd has mentioned you should have 4 in total, 2 fit in from the top and 2 in from the bottom of the top yoke holes for the headlamp cradle. There should also be a collar that fits down through them once they are in place which looks like item #22 on the same page as it looks like the parts catalogue show these in the wrong place. Tone

Many thanks midlifecrisisrd, Tone and crash for your help. It has to be 1 of the 4 headlighy stay mountings. As I said I seemed to have misplaced the bracket so it was difficult to find where this rubber should be. I moved from the UK to China a couple of years back and setting up a new workshop has taken time and moved things about. I can't believe I only have one rubber and the rest of the brackets and fittings are not here, so I will have a good rummage around tomorrow. Thanks again guys.

No Steve. Somewhere I have the complete headlight stay assembly and fittings wrapped away. How this little devil became a stray is anyone's guess. I will keep digging... ;D This only came to light as the Tarozzi rearsets I fitted don't have a rubber mounting for the exhaust on the hanger, like the Yam one's do. These rubbers fit perfectly. The theory is that now I know what they are, I should be able to order a couple from Mr Yam. ( if still available)

At first hand it looks similar, but of different proportions. It's a different mounting. Besides 2 LC2's, I have only had a 350R which I know it's not from. Had a complete sort out. Oops! The headlight stay is missing, so gonna need to track one down. If anyone does have a spare, pm please? Typical, there was one on flebay a couple of weeks back...
