Apologies if I have already posted this but I can't for the life of me work out where.......so here we go again....possibly! I'm a regular contributor to this forum & have benefitted from the wealth of info issued by its members......so thanks to you all. My passion is Italian scooters (thats half the viewers gone then) but I have also owned many bikes (ZXR, GSXR, GSF etc) as I have a need for something scooters can't always give....speed! I will say at this point the current scooter speed record stands at 119 mph, but thats another story! When I was younger I read an article in an old scooter mag where a nutter had fitted a Yam RD 350 engine into a Lambretta & I thought "ooh, that'll do the job" So here I am 45 next b'day & I finally have one! I bought it as a 'road legal' (ahem) vehicle two years ago & have since lavished many an hour on it to improve & mould to my requirements. For all those who like pictures & waffle please take a look at my build here: www.hostingphpbb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=613&mforum=seriessix*****YOU MAY HAVE TO REFRESH THE PAGE***** I will add I like shiny paint as much as the next bloke but until I stop tinkering 'satin black' will have to do! Please continue to help me when requested & rest assured I will keep dipping into the forum & assisting where I can. And to pre-empt one question, i've done 87.4 mph max on it to date & it feels as stable as a horse!

Didn't think I would see a towbar on a scooter Spencer Does it improve the handling? ;D "That's half the viewers gone" Well, not me anyway.

Didn't think I would see a towbar on a scooter Spencer Does it improve the handling? ;D "That's half the viewers gone" Well, not me anyway. The tow bar just improves practicality! I can get 48 cans of Stella along the base of the trailer with camping gear, tools & chain stacked on top, not an ounce of load on my back other than the protection afforded by my riding gear! Handling gets squiffy beyond 55-60 mph with the trailer (Vespa or Lambretta!) but we tend to stick to 55-60 when in a group anyway so no issues. Thanks for hanging on in there!

Very cool build - I like that you could have made things easier for yourself by going premix but didnt!

Swapping the engine out for a rebuilt (by Raccoon Rebuilds) unit at the moment. Was running F2 flywheel & stator with 31K reg/rec & 31K coil but switching to F2 reg/rec & Banshee coils. Hope it behaves better after the weekend!!
