5th running of this event. Broadford is a motorcycling venue about 100km north of Melbourne. It's owned by Motorcycling Victoria. The event is for pre-'85 bikes and has road racing, dirt track, MX, enduro and trials venues. A bunch of us from the Griffith Classic MCC went down again this year, camped in the paddock, had a few beers and a few laughs, and rode our road bikes around the race circuit. There are classes for road bikes - divided into 'novice', 'intermediate' and 'epxert' rider groups, then there are classes for race bikes in pre'65, '75 & '85 groups. They had a special display this year of Velocettes, plus there are the sidecars and special invite bikeslike a group of RC30s, the Drysdale V8 & Irving Vincents. Just so much to look at. This is me. I later bumped myself up into the 'expert' group which was much more challenging. So challenging that I binned it at the very end of the day. Jobs right, my wife then went and bought me some second hand race compound tyres. This is Tony. XS650 that is a mix of '74 frame & '77 engine. He's been offered an engine swap to match the chassis. The videoof Troy on his XJ900 wont work here at the moment so, more later, with some stills from the pit garages.

I've nearly finished running through the videos that we took over Easter. Here's a 'mash' of it all.
There are quite a few others on youtube, if you're interested. And no adverts.
Geez we had fun. Even with 2 weeks now off my feet, it was worth the time and pain. I've still got to replace the damaged riding gear and fix the sickle.

A meet like that, with the bikes of that era is my idea of heaven.. thanks for taking the time to post them.
