out for a short blast today, bank pay (cheques) and get some 2 stroke oil when in the rear view mirror a bike cop! followed me for a mile then pulled me. 1st time in nearly 20 years i've been stopped by the pigs. "your tail pipes seem to small for my liking" he blurts! i am laughing my head off, what i said read them mate Yamaha 3xv stamped all over them. talked for about 15 Min's before he wished me well (he owns an fjr1300) and off i went still laughing. he professed he knew about bikes but could not work out what mine was except for the cc (tzr250r). ah well, good job i spotted him i was about to blast pass about 20 cars, then i would have been in the shite. lesson here: look before doing any serious overtaking, talk bullshit and give loads of technical crap, he got bored and had to go he said.

Well I have met a couple of good coppers.......one of em only stopped me to admire my bike , we stood talking for 10 minutes then he rode off. A proper biker cop , not one of these power-mad-hitlers The other one pulled me over for wheelying....told me to grow up and left it at that.............could have ended up with a ban

bizzarly the last time i got stopped (20 years ago) was a bike cop asking me why such a big bloke was riding a small rd 80 (albeit with the 125 engine in). we chatted for about 15 Min's then he buggered off, he was a "good" cop, at the time he was riding a BMW thingy but owned a town-mate t80, i laughed at him, stopping me for riding the 80lc when he owned a bloody step thru.
