My more or less standard LC had a huge midrange hole which completely went away when I added a set of 6mm spacers under the reed cages.

yup and if you remove the snorkel you will get some extra ponnies for free, normal is around 3bhp, just check your fueling afterwards, normally you have to lift your needles 1 clip position to compenstate for the extra air coming in
