I only ever took notice of things bike related. But do remember where I was when Lennon was murdered. The thing I seem to remember most were the Coburn & Hughes adverts in MCN & trying to decide whether it was to be wire or mag wheels when I turned 17.

Bugger must be getting old, not only remember it but bought some of it for my kids, just of for my afternoon nap but must remember to change my bag first, it always leaks if I'm not upright !

One thing missing for me was he didn't mention skateboards. Big part of my youth in the late 70's. Orange Kryptonics (mail order from America), NSK bearings and Laser trucks... the mutts nuts.
