I am in the process of trying to register a German import lc2. Took the usual paperwork to dvla last week to see what happened. As expected they just told me about nova and I should contact hmrc. I had a look on the website but got nowhere, just link after link, going round in circles.
I also had a phone number so tried it and eventually got through to someone. He admitted it was all new and no one quite knew what they were doing. He also said there was a problem doing it online as there is no provision to enter details of a vehicle brought into the country prior to these new rules.
He posted some forms to me (nova 1) and told me to add a note stating the bike was imported a few years ago and has changed hands several times. I have now done this and will see what happens in a week or 2.
