Not sure but think you only need the proof of duty paid if you are registering it the quick way with the Swiss reg document.
If you go down the route of dating certificate and plead ignorance you may get it registered as per a bike never on DVLA before.

My 125lc was already done when i got it.But i did reg a swiss mtx125 last year went the dating cert route £55 to reg it at dvla then tax on top but had to take it for a check as well as i had no import papers.
