I use Hylomar but I have no idea if it's good or not lol. It was recommended by an internet bike parts shop though and that's where I bought it from. EDIT: I have used high temp silicone sealant on the 350 before, and it lasts about 6 months, then it starts to separate from the aluminum around the crank area (and yes, I do clean the cases like mad before applying the sealant). I guess it's the petrol/oil mix that eventually gets it.

threebond is what the manufactures use, they just have it repackaged, Yambond etc 1215 is there best gunge in a tube, no leaks on any of my bikes or my mates bikes, 1 tube will last you for years or until if dries out.

Always used the Threebond and never had a problem so will stick with it. As its the correct thing for joining cases, why use something that isn't, not something that is quick and easy to put right if it fails.

I have also got to "gloop" my crank case together and wondered if any of the Loctite products I currently have would be sufficient,
Loctite 5188 - Ideal for sealing all kinds of rigid metal flanges, especially aluminium flanges. Excellent in demanding applications, excellent chemical resistance, highly flexible. Superior adhesion, can tolerate slight oil contamination on the flange surface.
Loctite 510 - Ideal for use on rigid flanges where high temperature and chemical resistance is necessary
Loctite 5368 High proformance black silicone -65°C - 250°C
Loctite 5399 High Temp proformance red silicone -60°C - 270°C
