I work for a rider training company - Stay Upright. The bosses put on a training day, on a race track - Wakefield Park - near Goulburn & about 3 hrs from home.
I took my 350LC for it's first ride since I bought it. The 250 was along for the ride, partially in case the 350 didn't work but mostly because I just love riding it like I stole it. To the best of my ability anyway.
The 350 lasted about 6 or 8 laps. First couple very tentative with a new front tyre. As I ran it around the clutch started slipping any time it went to red line. The suspension was way too soft. At the end of about 8 laps, approaching the last right turn, it nipped up. The back stepped out about a foot or so, came back before I got the clutch in. It started again & I rode it back to the garage.
I couldn't get it re-started, so I parked it.
This then is from one session from my helmet mounted camera.

My now retired boss, Dave, took the camera and followed a few of us around for a few laps during one session. There are 4 different videos on YouTube, but this is the one following me, on the 250.
The videos from Dave are quite boring. No sliding. No missed shifts. No outbraking himself. No extra hard on the brakes to avoid the bike ahead. He's just quite fast and smooth. b*****d. And he's retired. 'cause he's old.
That means he's an old b*****d.
Great bloke, though. ;D

I'm hanging out, hoping. Wakefield Park is about 3 hours from home, along one of the most boring roads in the known universe - Hume Hwy. It's just east of Goulburn. Phillip Island is about 5 hours south. Eastern Creek is about 5 hours north. Broadford Park is about 3 hrs south. Winton is about 2 hrs south. And they do track days at all of them. ;D
