Seems a bit steep to me. But was it a cheap/bargain bulky item?

nope, its a standard size parcel, bought yokes, footpegs, left switchgear, sidestand an disc, ive been using ebay since 2001 and have a shop on there, £28.60 would have to be the size of a fridge/freezer

Most of the time it's because there are no PayPal fees on P&P thus making a better profit for the seller

My better half sold a medium size item to i believe Israel a couple of years ago. 99p start and that's what it was sold for but the cheapest postage we could find for the customer was something ridiculous about 80 quid so we obviously contacted the the buyer and explained the situation and offered to either cancel the sale or for him to try and get it cheaper, but he was more than happy so the sale went through i couldn't believe it probably wouldn't have looked so bad had the item had a big value

You should have not completed the sale if you thought the postage charge was too high

well my opinion is slightly different and please don't take offense, when you bidded on the item or clicked buy it now you must have noticed the postage cost . yes its ridiculously steep but most likely high to top up money he was selling the items for and to compensate for the 10% sellers fee's ebay charge.

The bloke used the system to make money on the post by adding up all the posts instead of doing you a deal on combined post . you should have sorted this before paying. I would not be happy paying that for post when the hole lot could be posted for £6 .

lc rider how do you know it could be posted for £6 he bought 6 items at 99pence , each p&p was listed for each item, if you bid on things expect to pay what is listed if not DONT BID.buy the way it was my brother selling the items.postage from royal mail first class recorded as listed cost him £19.60 plus the packaging, plus him getting the bus to the post office to post them as hes a teenager so how did he scam anyone !!!!!!!!!!

Most people on ebay will do a combined postage rate, Or just use parcel monkey i've just had a load of Rd parts delivered by City link for £12 and they weighed 20kg, I just arranged the courier myself easy.
