Hi Billy, "prod" is gonna be an abreviation for "production" , as in "proddy racing" UK race class, tuned for standard size carb's & poss pipes ? Remember tuning price lists @ Stan stephens in portebello road in the late 80's Stage 1 the cheapest - barrels only, Stage 2 barrels & head Production tune barrels & head more extensive work Stage 3 barrels, head & cases for transfers. My original N2 pic'd above has got st2 S/S top end , was quick & reliable Cheers Matt

Don't know wether to polish or paint ? Gave them a go with scotchbrite, I've got some simon5 decals for them. I don't like polishing, so may prep & paint in silver ? ...

Just had a parcel from Norbo ! poor timing again... I was given the wiseco gasket set by a mate who was sold it for his LC, it defo wasn't gonna fit an LC, but it fitted YPVS studs, didn't think to check waterways matched ! Will be genuine gasket for sure Wanted to get it fired up today

Still awaiting paint, have had to order more decals from another source, the decals I got bubbled up overnight, but are actually wrong for N2 the oblongs are the wrong sizes & the white line between Yamaha & oblongs doesn't taper as the standard does, hoping imageworks do better... Gonna start another thread for my other N2 i've been tinkering with

Cheers chaps, still waiting for graphics - stockist has got wrong size rectangles on tank decals (3 red blocks), he's been sent a photo of my standard tank to copy... (I'm not an anorak, but do want paintset right) Painter is flippin brilliant though Painted before estimated completion date !!! That is NOT the usual experience I'm told, think trade like most things is a bit slow @ the min Hoping paint set will be back soon

Decals took an age to show, the painter's done a superb job Andy the painter was not happy he couldn't get the final taper right, minimal hidden by seat, and certainly not an issue for me !

Final check, couple of split pins and we're ready for an MOT Going to have a go at mending the seat cover, with some of the excess on the underside, cut & glue job ?... Very happy with the paintwork & think it's turned out nice looking standardish bike, not a restoration, more thorough refurbishment Started snowing for my pic's just now Come on Spring
