Some South Wales members of the bike club I belong to, are having a camping weekend 14/16 Dec at Tan Hill, 250/300 miles for them, the highest pub in the country, personally I think they should all be certified.
But what would I know (WUSS)

rd 350r, I think its a brill idea your club's got! Hope they've got decent sleeping bags! I'm betting that more than one beds down in the bunkhouse. It's the 500/600 mile round trip for them that gets me, I may just go up in the car 70 miles for me, to see if anyone died of hypothermia.

Ahh no fair, I'd love to live in Canada . I could go snowboarding or skiing in the powder every weekend. Only downside would be the missus not seeing me, oh wait is that a down side? ;D Having an off road bike with studded tyres, that must be wicked on the ice.

The cold isn't as fun as you might imagine. Every year the tv news does a report like this ..... No, we don't all talk like this guy. He is from the east and we westerners don't sound like that. Supermoto bike. The boys can do wheelies and stoppies on ice. This is the crew last winter.

We hardly ever park our bike here (Greece) today was sunny and got up to 17 degrees C, no snow, no salt on the roads, just a a few days of rain during winter. Downside is that there is no such thing as a winter project bike.. How much can you do in three months, so you and up with sunny hot days and a pile of parts instead of a bike. A couple of months back I started a 31k rebuild, "economic crisis RD" I called it, will start a post soon. Cheers
