i have been told by gibson that there pipes run very close to the belly pan on the lc what can ido to protect the belly pan from melting

could try heat reflective tape on the inside of the pan.

a small round spacer fitted between the belly pan and the frame bracket (bolt goes through it), does the job for me . it just drops the belly pan enough away from the exhaust and can't be seen.

this is a picture of one of my black chrome allspeeds i got for my 350lc, earlier this year, I disnt put any wadding in the baffles and they sound spot on, hope you like pic, and if you want any more pictures let me know
