Hi all, so after allot of time and hunting i finally made a purchase and now own my first 350 LC ;D My first riding experience was great, I've owned GSXR 1100s Hayabusas etc and nothing was quite like jumping on an LC for the first time! However!! all was going great, went out for a ride stopped for a brew very happy with myself and really enjoyed the ride, made my way home to suddenly find the bike spluttering and having no power what so ever below 6000rpm it was almost to a point of having to slip the clutch to pull away, no power as the revs build no power then would only pull higher in the revs but didn't feel right. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm excited still but a little deflated now.

Sounds like fueling. Blocked pilot, stuck float or something like that or even reeds
If it was running fine before it will hopefully be a simple thing like that, especially if it had been laid up or not used often

Yeah its not been used that often, felt like Major fuel starvation to me! You will have to forgive my ignorance as I've never owned an LC before what are the reeds? I've heard of them but am unsure what they do....?

I've heard of them but am unsure what they do....? They are between the carb rubbers and the barrel. They are petals that open to let the fuel in but close to stop the the back pressure from the down stroke blowing back through the carb. Have a look at the inside of the tank, if it is rusty it can block the fuel to the carbs or if it gets into the carbs will block the jets. Steve

Inside the tank is mint! and i mean mint, was surprised how clean it was as every LC i have viewed had rust in the very bottom.
Not saying there isn't any crap in the tank but no rust or at least so minimal u would have to look hard.
It was running fine before gave it the big one off the roundabout then all of a sudden sputtering so crap in the carbs could well be the cause.
Do the reeds suddenly fail?? are they easy to get hold of?

petals can fail, not so much if standard metal ones are used but fibre ones can break.
It's either that or something else like crank seal or ring failure.
As said get a manual and start at carbs, also look for air leaks as loose bolts or split intake rubbers will much up the mixture.
