Before I start the task of sorting out the loom I thought I would see if I have a spark and I dont.
Carried out a couple of checks e.g. good earth at coil, all connections good, traced back to the kill switch and found I have 2 earths going into the switch, I does get a better earth when switched to stop position.
Is this correct or should it be 1 earth in and then when you switch to stop 1 earth out ? If its not right any ideas what could be the cause.
Cheers

Only one side of the switch should be an earth. When the kill switch is set to STOP both sides should be earthed as the switch is used to "ground or earth" the low tension side of the coil. Or in some cases ground the RUN/STOP signal from the CDI.

Sounds like a short in the loom or a faulty coil or CDI. Test across the loom and unplug each one until you find something. Most likely to be the coil. What bike and year is it and do you have a wiring diagram ?
