So... if you remember my build thread about the CR/RD bike, I'm now going to deal with the electrics, which is not my strongest side. Here's a couple of pics on what I have dug out of the loom so far: Video:As you can see on the pics, atm I'm only aiming for a bike that runs. So no lights, battery, regulator, etc. All I want is a spark for the plug. I know I might have to add some extra ground cables (as you can see I put one of these black multimeter cables on the ground wire from the stator, just to show it's a ground cable) but other than that I'm not quite sure if it'll work. The blue cable seemed to have something to do with the light or clocks, so I snipped it off. But what do you lot think? Is it gonna work, just plug & play?

you can only try and see . there is no reason why it wont work if all the components are working . after all a race bike runs the same way nothing other then a stator cdi and Ht coil ,

I should have just tried it lol. I realised I could actually test the stuff easily by just plugging it into the working RD, so I did, all I had to do was a bit of earthing and when I kicked the engine over, I got a spark! I didn't expect that tbh but it seems to work. The only problem is that the spark seems rather weak, but it might be because I wasn't kicking it hard enough (I just used my hand on the kickstarter, not really trying to spin it around as fast as possible, and RD125 engines spins rather slow when kicking it compared to other engines).
