did the wheels have a lacquer on as standard as just repainted mine an semi polished rims an wondered if they need a coat on them an if so any recomendations?  ?? cheers mart |

as far as i know its just polished no laquer

Yamaha never polished RD rims (neither clear coated them), they were painted black and then they turned the rims in a lathe to get the shiny edges.
This is, ufcourse, very hard to replicate so pretty much everyone polish them instead.
