Can anybody confirm that to remove the gear lever shaft you don't have to split the case.
You can remove it by removing the clutch basket & then extracting it from that side of the engine?

as above its a simple job just taks some time to do thats all .

Yep but removing the clutch basket is a pain - drain oil, drain coolant, you also have to remove the clutch centre nut so you'll need some sort of holding tool. Also a good idea to get a new tab washer as well. As said, not hard but just a pain

Silly question why are you taking out if its to replace the seal you should be ok with it in place
