Hi,
Does anyone know if there's a problem running an 18 tooth front sprocket on a 1WT YPVS engine ?.
JT only list up to 17 to fit the YPVS engine (even though they make an 18 in the correct fitment), which suggests there's a fitment problem. ?
I'm running a std 17 at the moment and it does look like the chain runs pretty close to the nylon bush over the gear change shaft and running a larger front sprocket would take it closer ?.

my f2 had a 18 tooth front sprocket when i brought it and it felt a bit sluggish on acceleration so i swapped it for a 17 tooth and it revs out in every gear and still does just over 120 mph so seems perfect to me. personly id stick to the 17 but i know i didnt have any clearance issues with either on my standard f2. hope this helps.

Keep it at 17 mate. At 18??...I think it will be very sluggish and may strain your clutch.

Yeah the 18t was an option on the F2 when new. I ran 18/41 on my LC2 and it was nice and had the added advantage of raising the chain run away from the Metmachex arm
