I've been having issues with my RD250LC spitting oil out from somewhere, oil seems to be gearbox oil, thought it was from the left hand exhaust manifold, suspected crank oil seal or bad joint between crank casings (bike also has poor running midrange). I left the fuel on yesterday after having a little tinker, with bike on paddock stand, gone in garage today to a smell of fuel, get bike out on drive to have a look and fuel pours out from somewhere, start to kick bike over and its squirting fuel from which seems to be the bottom off the barrels, i'd say left cylinder front and centre. I'm now thinking that this is where the oil has been coming from, so it would seem to be not only pulling in gear oil but having a blown bottom gasket too, no wonder its running crap mid range. Think its time to stop fannying about with it and just take the engine out and overhaul it, lets hope it sorts the issues out when its back together
