Hi, My 350 ypvs engine seems to be running fine when riding but Ive noticed that when the engine is warm its puffing white smoke from the right hand Exhaust pipe ? (The other pipe seems clear) Give it a thrash up the road and it clears but later returns after a while on tickover again, as said this only happens when its warm and after a good run. Its not using water. The tail can wadding is clean. Ticks over nicely. I had the head off a couple of weeks ago and the rings, bore and pistons are in good order. Plus Ive undone the oil filler cap when its running to see if the engine note changes incase its pulling in oil/air through the drive side oil seal but that seems fine also. I will check the plugs and oil pump next but before I do any other ideas?

I had very similar. Was due to right side crank oil seal. (Worst possible case.) Saying that, is it really white smoke, or is it steam? If so you should see water droplets on the r/h plug? Hope you get it sorted. JR

Smell the smoke.
Does it just smell like a two stroke or like and old smoky banger. If the latter it is gearbox oil so probably the crank seal.
Oil pumps can pass oil due to the ball valves in the outlets full of crap so check that as per nikfubar's thread in the technical section.
Also check carb balance to make sure both running even at idle
