Motul 710 for me, nearly bought some castrol as its £12.50 at halfords, Motul smells nice, i squirt a bit of pure castor oil in my baffle packing for that ultra rich smell, pull up on my r1 and then the smell catches up with you! mmm

Castrol Racing 1 Fully Synthetic in the RGV250, Motul 510 semi in the RD350B, Reason, well the RGV is used mainly on track and as standard are a pretty high state of tune, the RD gets used plodding around the road and most 2 stroke oils around now days will be much better than 37 years ago, so semi is probably over kill.

Does the Castrol oil smell good? anything like castrol R? No Only a caster oil has the smell . I use 200mm to a galen in the tank of motul on a pri mix 250 to a full jerry can . its quight heavy on the oil so a jet up ofcourse but its better to run as mush as you can its cheeper then a rebore as i always say . But dont over oil without up jetting becourse of the displacement as you will run week as it displaces the fuel running threw the main jet . You allways have to up jet when pri mixing .

Nope, If that is the case then i have bought 4stroke oil in a 2stroke pot! This is 2T oil.. 2T oil that seems to have changed its guise.
Shell make 4T/4stroke oils in abundance, there may have been a VSX verson i don't know, not seen it myself.

Yep I do ,, I swear by it plus I can get it through work for less than £6 a ltr just ordered more today, When my lad had his dtr 125 he ran it on that , it got a severe thrashing on a daily basis ,covered over 12000 miles of teenage abuse before he sold it on , still on the original bore ,,,,, good enough test for me !!

Be warned then that Advance VSX 2T has changed cosmetically.
I contacted Shell Uk.. in Manchester.. diverted to a call centre in the Philippines..! how nice.
Three seemingly clueless women i was passed through hardly rising from their relaxed slumber.. the last one thinks' that possibly the dye and perfume has been removed due to new spec. regs.
I did think that a lot of 2stroke oil may have a dye for identification purposes but perfumed... I thought all 2stroke oil had a certain nice smell exhaust wise and in the pot, i had no ideas of perfumes being used.
I took it back anyways, got a refund. I think all 2T oil is much of a muchness brand wise but i'm changing to Castrol simply because it's cheaper and the next most accessible thing.
