Picked the 350 up today, the excitement tempered somewhat by the bike falling over in the van and suffering some of the journey in its new ownership on its side...gutted wasnt the word..
It was well strapped down but the bars spun in the clamps, the straps come loose...and down it went, fairly smoothly it has to be said, on its left hand side.
Anyways, its took the paint off an area of the once immaculate mars bar tank(how much approx for a quality respray chaps) , gained a small mark on the centre stand ,side panel and I think thats it cosmeticlly..however it spilled out a large quantity of gearbox oil..and whilst looking at the bike, I noticed a bolt missing from the lower crankcase cover, nearest the gear change...it appears the oil may have come from this hole, not sure as it was dark when we got back...should a bolt be there and would the oil come out in a tip over like this?
Any advice appreciated...thanks

It's a bugger when theat happens eh? I've not used these people before but a friend had his mar bar tank reprayed there and it was like it was just off the factory floor or better. www.custom-paint.co.uk

That's a rite bummer ,my bike fell over in the back of my van on the way to the Nerdoc rally ,gutted for you, don't think the lost bolt is anything to worry about if it's an lc it could have lost some oil through the clutch push rod seal if it's been on its left hand side for a while.

Thanks guys, yes, appears from looking online that this missing screw doesnt lead to anything too important.
Was on its side for 40mins maybe, didnt think about the pushrod but having this bike is like starting all over again a little bit!
I guess she may be a tad reluctant to start (after ive topped the oil back up..)but ill square it away.
Feeling a bit better now than I did at 7pm..

Word of advise custom paint - AKA Tony Collins - don't waste your money with him, unless he has had a radical personality change he is a complete arse and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, I have had work (if you can call it that) done by him so speak from personal experience. Pretty web pictures are that but who's to say how old they are and whos work it is anyway. I know others have used him and will rate him but my experience of him and his work is less than satisfactory. Your money - your choice though.
