Thought I'd better ask after Sunday's ride I noticed that the rh pipe was dry but the lh was wet even with oil getting down the underside of th pipe. The black sticky exhaust stuff. It's always leaked black oil at the header on the lh side. Had the issue with splattering oil over boot before sealing Amy ideas. It starts 1 st kick runs nice and ticks over fine. I have upped the oil pump a little bit. Could this be it? If it were seals would not both sides leak and bike run bad? On the rear view video I took appears to be no excessive smoke from that side and I am sure one of you would have said something to me . Gearbox oil level not changed. Need to check plug but before fitting standard pipes they were clean. Me being paranoid again!

Mine are both oily out back although if you take the baffles out they are dry , could it be just a build up in that pipe if you have had them hanging up in the garage for a while that has run out towards the back ,, I guess from your post they havent been fitted for a while ? ,, or is the other side not getting enough ?? Now your paranoid ;-)

Actually was first ride out with pipes. Have been hanging up. However that left side has always pushed out more oil. Was thinking about rh side as it's dry... After the thrash round I am sure if it was not having enough oil it would have nipped up by now....no idea how you get more oil to that cylinder. Alway the lh that leaks never right Thanks for feedback

Ideally I would strip the oil pump and service as nik's thread in the technical section.
You tend to get crud in the outlet spigots that stops the return valves ( ball and spring ) closing meaning while the bike is not running it can gravity feed through the pump and in to the engine so will be thrown into the pipe when started. If left leaking but right ok it will make one pipe oily.
Worth a try for little cash.

Thanks. good idea will do this for a few pound.
Was just concerned that the RH side was not getting enough oil put after many miles thrashing around and running on 300 jets! I am sure it would have nipped by now.
Starting to think your comments could easily be this issue..plu the fact the bike stands 2 weeks before each ride and at 24k miles I bet the pump has never been serviced.

Checked plugs both were dry and correct colour. Decided to look at exhaust baffles lh was not as oiled up as I expected but looking into the end of the exhaust I could see quite a bit of oil black syrup type. The rh pipe was dryer .
So took the lh carb off. Bike has been stood now for 2 weeks not used so I was surprised to see a little bit of oil at the front. It was hard to see it but deff got oil on finger. The slider was also a little wet. And it appeared to be coming from the first pin hole looking from the front of the carb. Not sure what goes to this. To be honest I was hoping to find a lot more oil sort of a rain drop amount but then again I expect I does not take too much to start oiling things up.
When starting the lh side does smoke more but when riding the lh does not appear to smoke any more than rh. Can't be much can it. Or I might just live with it.

My 31k weeped slightly on both sides and my N2 on LH side.
Noticed it after fitting the clear oil lines and not priming them but fed through them selves over a few days so over a few weeks even 10ml will be pushed into the exhaust when started.
