and ajust up the oil pump after you up jet at least 1 full turn and allways do aplug chop befor you start propper riding to make sure you are getting anough oil threw.

This is an interesting thread. I've been told to go up 2 - 3 jet sizes when using a micron can. my bike has a 10W carb and standard airbox. the standard 10W main jet is a 155 so I'm looking to use either a 165 or a 170.

I know every engine is different and responds differently, but the difference between a 170 and a 220 is a lot. Now I'm confused.

When I get my Micron fitted I was going to use a 170 main and see how I get on, now I feel like I would be seriously underfuelling it. I'd hate to seize it as it's just had a rebore and a new piston/rings.

What about a RD MK 3 with 2hk tzr carb standard jet is 180, standard box and Allspeed fat can, im trying a 200 to start with do you think thats about right? needle 1 up from bottom (raised by 1 notch),
running oil pump 1mm past the dot richer .

any ideas 12a carb,2mm oversize piston.standard exhaust with washer cut out at the front of pipe. got a 230 jet in is this to b ig??

What are the standard jet sizes please? just pulled out a 12A carb and the jet is a 210, is this ok for a standard set-up? or has it been jetted for an exhaust and then been removed?

Im going to go with standed 10 w pipe and standard airbox,Just had a look at the 10w carb im going to fit, and main is a 190 anygood to run it like this?

12a standard main jet is 195. 10w standard main jet is 155. i have a 10v carb fitted it had a 190 main in and ran like crap struggling to get in the band, now got a 165 in and runs fine, done 2,000 miles since rebuild with no issues at all and seems to run quite cool. sorry nearly forgot also as a micron fitted.

so for my bike to run smooth as silk with standed 10w zorst and carb i need to change jet to 155. ;D cheers
