Hello to the forum, After a 1200 klm drive I'm the new owner of this RD350F, [/img] Maching Numbers, motor is running, fairings are there but in very poor condition, the rest is rusty and dirty. It needs a lot of work, the goal is to restore it as it was the day it left the production line. I'm on a low budget so the progress is going to be slow. I will need your help and knowledge, which as I see from other posts is very good. Lets see where I end up with this.. no guts no glory! Attachments:

I'll say welcome even though I myself only joined a few hours ago. Already I've had to ask a question, strange being 43 and still a "youngster" in forum terms but as my nan always used to say "if you don't ask you don't get" I almost bought one that as you say was "almost off the production line" but I've decided to use mine as the designers and builders intended it.

Thanks to all of you. The tank is not as bad as it looks.. It was sandbasted at the lower side and has a tiny weld at the very bottom. I might be able to save it. Here is my other 2stroke, TDR 50cc partially restored 4 years ago, I will get to it again after I finish the 31k [/img] The other machine on the back is the only 4stroke I enjoy putting my hands on! Always like the TDM50/80, was one at Stafford a few years ago for £800, nearly came home with it, but didn't know much about them at the time. There's also a NOS fairing on fleabay at the moment.

Yes it is a prety little bike, has all the bits and tricks of a bigger one, discs frond and aft, nice suspension etc. I ride it to get around in the city to avoid searching for space to park the car. Back when I was in school you could get the best girls if you had something like this! Then again the smell drive most of them away in a matter of a few days!
