Building my LC hybrid can any one suggest a good upgrade master cylinder for RGV / GSXR400 calipers (the ones with one big and one little piston)
Tried 2004 ZX10R master cylinder but after plenty of bleeding and clear brake fluid its still very spongy
Ta!!

RGV or GSX calipers will be good with a standard RGV master. Discs make a massive difference, had a set of slightly worn GSX ones on mine and didn't have a lot of bite, changed to new discs and difference was amazing. If you want a master with the res built in then Fazer is a good option, using that set up with tokico six pots and galfer discs. Awesome braking, pop your eyes out stuff , have to warn people before they get on it. Had RGV 4 pots on my other bike with RGV master and new discs (cheap set) and they were also very good. Steve

I have a brand new set of wavy disks waiting to go onto the bike..... Wanted something a bit newer than RGV............ Fazer sounds like a good idea.
Are we talking Fazer 600 or 1000?

Think they are both the same as both bikes used the Blue spot calipers. Other benefits are that you don't need to mess about mounting the res and that it has a mirror mount on it. Steve

I thought there was a ratio for Caliper piston area Vs Master Cylinder diameter, I assumed thats why a 2004 ZX10R that I have fitted was feeling spongy
