Hello chaps,
To richen the mixture via the air/mixture screw on a 10W carb do you turn it clockwise or anti clockwise? I've read somewhere that anti clockwise richens and I've also read that clockwise richens, any ideas?
I checked mine last night and it was set to just over 1 turn anti clockwise from fully in.
Regards
Gary

Clockwise/IN to richen
Anti-clockwise/OUT to weaken

Standard setting is 1 and a 1/2 turns out from fully in, but don't screw it in to hard only from lightly seated.

I fitted a brand new BR9ES last weekend and I've done about 30 miles on it. I whipped it out last night and this is what it looks like.
This is not a true plug chop and wasn't removed after fixed rpm. it was taken out after a long ride but after I'd riden it home to my garage.
Note how only one side of the porcilain has turned dark. I'm not sure if this is normal, weather its running lean, rich?
It was running quite warm (3/4 and over on the temp gauge)

Plug looks ok, especially given how hot it was running.
It's not likely to have mixture problems running a standard setup but I'd be trying to get that temperature down.
I also run 10's in the summer (takes a bit more heat away from the top of the piston) and std 9's in the winter.
