Found some old bike pics. They were the days 20 and riding this. It was mine. Racing mates on gsxr1100 and 750 's great in straight line but was knackering through corners. Only could afford third party ins! Traded this in Earlier years Like the gold crank twisted at 90 two up.... Ace after getting welded crank and ports cleaned up. Found home tune motor but told it was standard when bought Changed LC to this. Swapped rx for this 1990 kept for 5 yrs One of my fav 1st bike

Nice that you have so many photos through the years, very pipe and slippers for later years - wish I had more
Interesting regards the RX rear mudguard, mine still has that lil' shortened version and I always assumed it wasn't genuine for the bike!

am i right in saying that the rx was the fastest road bike when it came out. I'm pretty sure it was. 170mph? There was a guy near me about a year older than us who inherited a load of money had one. We all had our 125lc's at the time and he bought it and rode it without a full licence. We were all soooooo jealous. It still looks real mean in those pics

the RX in a straight line in was quick but round the corners you could get in trouble really quickly. Had to plan the line well as it was so heavy pulling it round.
If you got it wrong it ran off line very quickly.
Used to rate mates on GSXR1100 etc.
Old man had a GPZ900 at the time but went out and bought the ZX10 which was quicker & lighter.
