Fairly common when they've been tuned or messed about with. Might be too rich on the needle which affects mainly the mid-range just before it goes into the power band. Mines a little bit rough in the mid-range and only really happy in the power but it's running safe and covered quite a few miles like it. You could try dropping the needle one clip (clip one notch nearer the end of the needle) but be careful you don't make it too lean and hole a piston when cruising on part throttle

You could raise up the needle 1 clip this may help. but im asooming you have a micron fittted or simuler and if so this is just what you would expect . You can put a shaer in the top of the forks and put in a clutch spring cut in half . this will help with the forks .

You could raise up the needle 1 clip this may help. Just to clarify, as it can be confusing raising the clip to drop the need ;. To weaken the mid-range/part throttle mixture (which can reduce mid-range splutter) you need to drop the needle (so it sits more into the the main jet, hence reduces the petrol flowing through it). To achieve this you need to move the clip one groove nearer the end of the needle. Now I'm confused..... ha ha ha NOT

i have a standard exhaust fitted , not going to pay the extortionate prices for a micron of the well known auction site lol as for the forks issue i take it you mean a clutch spring from an rd or a car clutch plate , am going down the route of heavier oil in forks at moment rather than sae 10 going for sae20 , good or bad idea??
