I decided to bin my RZ250s standard wanky carbs for my old LC350s (4LO-01) carbs, the main reason is that I want a more easily tunable carb as im going to fit expansions & maybe a 31K top end, heres how I got on The RZ fuel tap is vacuum operated & the LC carbs dont have a vacuum take off. I Have sorted the fuel tap problem by using this Brazillian model gen Yam tap. I have settled on a 210 main jet using the theory that the main jet difference between a 350LC & a 350 powervalve is 2 sizes, so at 210 its 2 sizes bigger than a 250LC. The emulsion tubes in the RZ carbs are the same as those in my 4LO carbs (345 P2) so I tried using the RZ250 needles (5N12) & it ran like a bag of shite! I have used needles from some Brazillian carbs I have (5L20) with clip at position 2. Took bike out on Sunday & did 70 miles bike ran well reving better than with the original carbs, plugs look good to me. The only problem I had was a slightly sticking throttle prob from using a pattern cable, so I will replace the throttle cable with a genuine Yam item. Just need to get some decent pipes now! I had bought some stainless Lomas pipes but they just dont fit!

Hi Robs,
How is your bike running now, after changing the Carbs? Better than those jointed ones?
I am also planning for a similar change, so wanted to check. Please let me know.
