Hi,
Just stripped down the top end of my N2 after finding a botch by a previous owner (apparently if a head stud snaps, you just todge he barrel nut in place with hyloma!).
Anyway, when i removed the reed blocks, they were fitted with fibre reeds (ok?), but the reed stops were missing. Is this the correct way to fit fibre reeds or another botch?

some makes of reeds dont use the reed stops but sometimes have a bar that goes beneath the fixing bolts, but usualy one of the two.

I'd still have thought they need a stop, but maybe fibre reeds are tough enough. Out of interest, do you know which makes just use the bar?
