nothing beats a good quality grease gun attached to the bleed nipple, block the union hole up with one of the caliper mounting bolts...pump grease in first just to blead the air out tighten bolt and continue to pump the grease pressure! CAUTION the piston can come out like a bullet! pack with rags to stop injury .

the piston looks like its jammed on an angle looking at the pic i would push it back in with a g clamp then air gun to push it back out...good luck

I'm with tzer on this one, use a grease gun (I tapped a 5mm grease nipple into an old banjo bolt) It's much more controllable than using an airline, never had one 'blow' out so far, used the other methods too, but I sometimes take them to work and do them. Soaking it in oil possibly hasn't helped, as it will swell the seals.

Put a flat plate on the front of a G clamp and then just wind it up, it will move

get a new piston and drill a hole in the side of the old 1 and lever it out with a good screw driver

ive used the ice cube method a few times now and as long as your willing to replace the seals and possibly the piston it normally works a treat. i heat mine over the cooker ring tho as they get a lot hotter than the over.

oh yeah, i forgot to put that, Greasegun method did it nicely, just blocked the brakeline hole an attached a greasegun to the bleed nipple, it seemed the safest an least mess to try first an it worked nicely, i was weary of tryin an airline again an didnt want to get brake fluid everywhere, the insides are in good nick, there has been brake fluid in it as it has be stored so im replacing the piston, seals, fitted stainless bleed nipple and banjo bolts an given it a coat or 5 of matt black vht paint
