Hi Iam having problems setting the ypvs valve up. I can get the valve lined up correctly looking up the exhaust port, but the index mark (4mm drill bit hole) is slightly out of line (backwards) and the fr cable adjuster is sitting on the housing rather than screwed into it?? anyone know if Ive screwed up something? are both the ypvs cables the same? thank you all

the cable should be screwed into housing.then you adjust the cables to pull valve into alignment.im sure cables are same length.

yes cables should be screwed into housing but mine will not line the valve up unless cable no1 is hanging out of the threads?? all the cables for this bike all seem not quite right... thanks for your input 47x..oh that was your 666th post

As 47x has said, turn on ignition ypvs pulley should rotate anticlockwise - open position. Turn off ignition before the servo cycles back to the closed position. Adjust cables to align pulley cut-out with 4mm hole in housing and that should be job done.

Alos make sure you have the cables the right way round as they are numbered 1 and 2 on the servo and pulley housing. I would ignore the alignment hole, just poke your finger up the exhaust port and make sure the valve is flush with the port roof at the servo rest position. Far more accurate way of doing it.

oh..might be to do with the fact Ive been doing it with the ignition turned off! I was using the finger up the port method, but definatly noted the index mark (4mm hole) was not perfectly alined with the other hole?? strange but true tar all for help... the more I solve the more pops up, its snaped its frame now!!
