OPERATIONAL V-12 DIESEL ENGINE THAT FITS IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND. This is not CNC technology; this guy made everything at home on his lathe and drill press. Took 1220 hours (a year and a half?) to make the 261 pieces. Note the end-loaded crankshaft into the block, 12 individual cylinder heads, TINY rods and pistons, dual "underhead" cams with pushrods to rockers in the heads. And, he did break-in runs using an electric drill driving the crankshaft! Even if you're not an engineer, you'll appreciate this! As it lasts for 9mins, those of you at work - did I spell that correctly? - watch in your lunch break, it is worth it. www.wimp.com/tiniestengine/

Have you seen the minature ferrari? There aint arf been some clever barstwerds!!!! Its a pity that in engineering works the final say is made by money men!!! and not the men that mater Engineers!

Amazing engineering skills. Only thing I don't get though is that cams normally rotate at half crank speed but on that engine the drive gears are the same size?

Hi, The reason that the cam shafts are going at the same speed as the engine is that it is a 2 Stroke......... which is nice. ! Steven.

Junkers Juno, & Commer TS3 are just 2 diesel 2T's. I'm sure BSAor Triumph engineers had diesel 2 stoke plans but there were more important things to spend money on, like gold plating directors Rolls Royces. Just imajine v4 supercharged 2T diesel!!!!
