I couldn't believe it, there I was looking through ebay when I came across the listing for an RZ50. For those of you who don't know it looks almost identical to an RD80LC. They were unrestricted and did about 60 to 70 mph. I had a few of these bikes when I lived in SA and was gutted recently when I missed out on getting one from SA due to having to arrange everything from the UK. Anyway I decided I really wanted this one even though it is in pieces, it's all there according to the seller but they all say that don't they. The bidding was moving along nice and slowly and only going up small amounts with each bid, and I thought I might get lucky here and pick up a bargain - huh, fat chance. Right at the end of the auction someone else decided they also really wanted this bike and with just 15 seconds to go and my heart racing I placed my bid praying that the pc would not have a fit and that the router would not suddenly die. The price was still low and I waited for what seemed like ages for my bid to go thru even though in reality it only took a second and then there it was, I was the highest bidder and with just a few seconds to go but boy did I get a shock when I saw the amount I had to pay. Don't get me wrong I don't regret buying it but if that other person could just have had a power blip or an urgent call from a sales person or even told by SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED to help with the dishes or something so that he could not place his bid I could have had it for half the price.
Not sure if that other bidder is nashing his teeth in frustration as with just a few quid more it could have been his or if he is smiling and saying "at least I made you pay for it you b*****d". Oh well I guess I can look forward to trawling the net looking for that elusive part that was missing even though it's all there.
