any idears if it could just be a dodgy seal? started the mk2 after a full rebuild took her for mot an passed did a quick trip to parents then home. An there it was oil everywhere under neath her. seems the oil seal around the sprocket shaft an come slightly forward so pushed it back in but theres still a slight leak. could the splines fooked it? ? an should these seals stay in under there own presure .... also one other niggle.The rear wheel is loose on the bearings so thats fooked aswell. Anyone got a rear wheel goin? ? cheers mart

shaft probly worn where the seal sits on shaft and i got a back wheel if yer want one fella

hi mart the oil leak could be round the clutch pushrod? its an easy fix

no mate its defo the output shaft, beepin thing. goin try a new seal before i rip engine out again... i will have a look though cheers.
