Just getting near to the end of my first rebuild RD350LC 1982 and the only thing letting the build down is a speedo shown 35,000 miles. Is there anyone on here who has reset the milage to zero ?? Have purchased a slightly worse speedo and was going to have a go.

It's a 2T, everyone knows a 2T is all about maintenance and should be rebuild every once in a while so speedo mileage is not important on a 20-30-40 year old 2T.
Also what your asking to do is clocking.

But did you know its not illegal to clock your own vehicle. It only becomes illegal if you sell it on and not inform the new owner that its been clocked.

get the clock end of a speedo cable fasten the other in a drill and run it till you once again reach zero. not sure if you wud have to have drill running forward or in reverse.

you need to strip the clock and then move the digits back with a small screwdriver or pin

I still dont see any point in doing this on a 2T, esp a rebuilt one, really does not make seance to me.
