hi got mot on friday ;D now just have to get in running better!!!! can any one tell me which carb bottom goes where??? they were in bits when i got them , one has a drill hole though top edge into bottom other has'nt?? i have drilled 1 on choke side atm is this right??? bike bogs down when you pull away and hesitates ? did notice today that it pulls away better on choke?? weak mixture?? thanks korky

Bowls are correct.sounds like air screw settings need tweeking. Turn the screw in an 1/8 and see how it pulls.

didnt know the bowls were different :-( oooeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr better chk mine , will they fit either carb then ??

yes mate.the bowl for the choke side has an extra jet/passge in it.

hi gazilla and all!!! didnt get time until tonite, read some where on here to check the emulsion tubes i had not taken them out so did that first, not much muck in there so turned air screws in as you said and it seems a lot better ;D, pulls awy well etc will give it a spin this week first chance i get, fingers crossed!!!! is it normal to have to alter the air screw like this?? i also checked the needle jets they are on middle notch, jets etc as per standard, thanks for all your help korky

Needles should be on second notch from the bottom.Not on middle if bike is standard.this may explain why it seems better with airscrew turned in.

ahh thanks thats worth a try, been out on it tonite, pulls away ok ish!!! not a lot going on up to 5000 rpm then yahooooo ;D first lc i've had and love it!!!!!! could seem under power cos i've been riding my 2 kettles for the last 12 yrs and they have a bit more grunt, will alter needles and try that. cheers korky

btw, does my needle being in the middle groove and not 2nd from bottom mean its running rich?? cos i had a lot of smoke following me

Huh? I thought middle needle notch was the standard setting (for 350), take it the 250 is different... J
