Hi all, started cleaning up the plastics on the LC and have a couple of questions:
1) What's the best way to rejuvenate the sides of the airbox? The triangular bits that stick out from the frame behind the carbs have bleached and gone white and shiny. The rest of the airbox is absolutely fine.
2) I noticed some tyre rub marks on the inside of the inner rear mudguards at the top where the two halves join. I can't remember if the tyre is a 130 or 140 but it's definitely narrower than an RGV tyre. I've never noticed it until now and it hasn't caused any problems but just wondering if anyone else has noticed any rubbing on their bikes?

I reckon its best not to paint the black plastics, they were never painted from the factory. Try using Autogleam vinyle and rubber restorer. Just spray it on and leave it, it will look all milky when applied but that will go and it dries out looking real nice.

Autoglym vinyl and rubber care is an excellent product that I use myself all the time. It will not however restore the plastic in the first post that has 'bleached white'. The technical help line for plasticoat is most helpful by the way. As in most cases there are always a few options for us to try.
