I'm thinking of moving away from the PJ carbs on my F2 but the tank has the silly vacuum system on it. How easy is it to run the non PJ Carbs with an F2 tank?

If you want to use the earlier 31K carbs they stil have the vacuum take off on the Rh carb. Tone

As tone said.
31k non pj carbs have the vac take off. Lc didn't.
If you have carbs without then simply go to the scottoiler site and buy the universal vac take off adaptor that can be fitted through one of the carb rubbers. Did this with my pwk's.

Cheers all, depending on a number of things I may just look out for a set of good 31k carbs, tuning the PJ can be an absolute pig and there is more data available for the 31k carbs.

47x, is your motor stock, are you planning on keeping the airbox, if so then the stock PJ are fine. You start running into problems with the PJ when you remove the airbox and start playing with the motor as the PJ need a vacuum to work and messing with the vacuum can cause all sorts of jetting issues esp for someone like me who hates jetting at the best of times.

If I start searching for a set of 31k carbs are there any particular ones to go for, are there different ones available?
Noticed two sets on ebay, one set is marked up 31w and come from a German import, then there is another set marked up 31k00

The 31k00 ones are the UK spec ones though looking at the Genuine Manual it looks like they use the same jetting.
