Just wondering and not 100% on the legality of it BUT would a log book and chassis plate even the head stock chopped off a frame be any good to someone, apart from someone trying to ring a bike that is.
Or shall I just log the frame as scraped?

technically it is not legal, and if you get caught, you run the risk of a very large fine and/or prison term.how i understand it to work,as soon as you modify a frames cradle, that is any of the frame that goes around the engine and the headstock, the frame looses its identity and has to go for an msva check, where if everything checks out,it will be given a new identity and either an age related,or a q registration.this is usually down to a points system based on how much of the original bike is being used.im guessing tho, that if you are returning the bike back to almost stock and using mostly original parts they may re allocate you the original number and reg.

Im not sure if i would trust a head stock welded on another frame . Making sure that it was on at the correct angle and be strong anough. I think the only people it would help is some one trying to ring a bike or someone with a Q plate bike. I have a Q plate bike but even i wouldnt whant to rish cuting of and welding on a second head stock .

That's ok, I was not 100% sure as I saw someone on ebay trying to sell just the same. Not that I want to make any money just wondered about helping another forum member out if someone needed it.
I'll log the frame as scrap.
With in two weeks I will have bits of an F2 frame all chopped up so if anyone needs anything, postage and a Beer it's yours. I've already had the frame rails from the headstock back.
Think Dusty wanted the rear end, not sure.
