2 questions first what type of paint should i use for the barrels? gloss satin or mat? I thought satin painted them and they came out like gloss Second question what colour do you think suits the LC best? Tempted to go with the mars bar colour i think its called.

The correct finish on the barrels is the same as on the air cooled bikes. You would be surprised just how shiny it should be. It's in between a satin and a gloss.

Second question what colour do you think suits the LC best? There is only one correct colour for a 4L0 (lights blue touch paper & retires to a safe position) WHITE with RED STRIPES They were always the fastest OEB

I'll second that white and blue for me but to be fair mar's bar is a very close second never been a lover of the white and red but end of the day it's down to personnel opinion on the subject of barrel paint what's the best to use im after a semi gloss finish

Your doing yours yellow in you? That's why ive not thought of it ;D I'm getting the head and side casing power coated gloss black to was trying to get the barrels slightly mat finish but not totally mat. so satin is a half way house. Or so i thought I,l stick some photos up tomorrow.

this is the colour of my head and barrels, its VHT engine enamel in satin black, i ended up getting my side covers powdercoated in gloss black, as far as colours go on the bike ,mines white with blue stripes, but the marsbar or yellow i would be just as happy with, they all look great to me the satin came out a little glossier than i thought but it will do me

I choose white and blue stripes when i was a lad but find it difficult to choose between the white and red ones now so have one of each ;D The correct finish for the barrels and head is satin black, i use plasticote satin black. kev
