hi all,i,m new to this forum and need help with my bike. ive just fitted a 180 big bore kit to my lc 125,it starts and ticks over lovely but as soon as you put it in gear and try to open it up it bogs out,no power what so ever,please help me paul

Does it run better if you open the choke while driving (or trying to drive the bugger)?

no,opening the choke makes no difference,but i think its the choke wats causeing the problem,ive even rejetted the carb but still no joy.

well.... i did a 125lc a few years ago with a 175cc (ish) top end. im guessing your carb jetting is way out or possibly just needs cleaning what 180cc top end are you using and what piston? it at a autisia or a genuine yamaha barrel with a 66mm liner fitted? either way you will need the head machining to the same 66mm bore size with reprofiled dome and squish re-set if it hasnt been done already. when i did mine it was a absolute bugger to set up correctly but a doddle to make run, i had a standard 26mm carb with a 240 main jet and eventualy fitted a kehin pwk28 that i had to pay a local bike shop to set correctly but it was a improvement and made 28bhp on there dyno opposed to the 13bhp it previously made from my attempt to jet it correctly .

hi there its a genuine yam barrel and piston, and the carb is a kehin pwk 85 it just seams to sucking to much air.

sounds like you have a Dt175 piston in a relined standard 125lc barrel. Has the head been reprofined to match the new nore sise or is it still standard ? What pipe are you running could be restricting the gasses getting out . what filter do you have fitted and do you run an head gasket or an O ring . Did you match the bottom casing to the new bigger bore of the piston or do you still have a large ledge under the ports?
What jets do you have fitted to the bike . have tyou tryed to do a plug chop .
